東京生まれ。生／性（エロス）と死（タナトス）、無常観を主題に作品を発表し続ける写真家。私写真の表現を切り拓き、『センチメンタルな旅』（1971）で転機を刻んだ。

作家が半世紀近く撮り続けているテーマに「花」があります。色鮮やかな花たちは、限られた生に燃える色彩を表現するかのように、官能的で鮮烈。数多くのポラロイド作品から厳選した4枚を組み合わせた。背中にはサインとイラストをプリント。
