Yuji Arimura
Born in 1983, he is a photographer based in Kagoshima Prefecture. Through meticulous fieldwork, he records a variety of motifs with a film camera, including the gently rippling sea, mountains glistening with night dew at dawn, wild animals and forgotten buildings. His works are captured with a deep, sharp gaze, and meticulously framed with the light that was there, revealing the true essence of the subject. In 2021, he won the Japan Photo Award.
