Born in 1983, ÉI KANEKO is a painter based in Tokyo His drawing work is attracting attention as it changes the viewer's "view" and encourages reconsideration through the process of discovering new images by reconstructing fragments of existing images such as the Internet and magazines and at times scraping off unnecessary parts. He has exhibited his work at THE LAST GALLERY, CLEAR EDITION & GALLERY, Gallery Naruyama, etc.
1983年生まれ、東京を拠点に活動する画家。 インターネットや雑誌など、既存するイメージの断片を再構築し、時には必要のない部分を削ぎ落とすことにより、新たなイメージを発見するプロセスを経て、見る人の「見方」を変え、再考をうながす、ドローイング作品が注目を集めている。 これまでにTHE LAST GALLERY、CLEAR EDITION & GALLERY、成山画廊などで作品を発表している。
